Teddy Cycle / Thread Cycle is SymbioHaven's textile repair and soft-goods restoration venture. We run a teddy bear repair hospital and give damaged stuffed animals, clothing, merch, and uniforms a second life through careful repair and repurposed materials.
The work is done by elders whose patience and hand skill are exactly what it requires. Restored comfort items go on to children in foster care and adoption settings, where visible care matters most. Part of the SymbioHaven ecosystem.

Mending well is slow, small, exacting work. It is also the kind of work a culture has largely stopped asking elders to do, even though their hands are the ones most suited to it.
So this venture is two things at once. It keeps comfort objects in use instead of replaced, and it creates paid, purposeful work for people whose skill and steadiness remain deeply valuable. Neither half is a side effect of the other.
